geneva13 is creating a paid internship program to be filled by a Genevan high school student. There will be two positions: a photo intern and a writing/journalist intern. Each intern will serve for six months, working on two issues of geneva13. We will supply the photo intern with a digital camera and the writing/journalist intern with a voice recorder and microphone. They will accompany the editors on photo shoots, interviews and will also provide their own essays in close consultation with the editors. Interns will be paid $100/month and will be able to keep their equipment at the end of the internship. The internship program will be funded by a combination of private donations and grants. The funding for the internship program will be overseen by Success for Geneva’s Children, a local 501(c)(3) organization.
